Feedback gevenI don?t normally leave reviews but i am genuinely displeased by the experience i just had there. our server gabby, first off did not greet us. when we came in, she just stared at us. she was very quiet dry. between me my sister in law, we had to ask for her side of pickles 4-5 times. the server walked away as i was still speaking. my sister in law ordered a sandwich plate only got the sandwich until i asked the server about it she said ?oh, you wanted the plate?? duh.. she didn?t say sandwich only. we waited about 4 minutes to be cashed out while our server stood there ignored us the whole time. i?d understand if the store was busy but it wasn?t. we were her only table. i worked as a server for 3-4 years, i know what it?s like i?m not trying to sound like a Karen but i?ve never had an experience like that nor would i ever treat one of my own tables like that. i don?t expect top tier service from waffle house but that?s definitely not how you treat customers. i?ve had bad days as a server, but you?re never supposed to let the customers know that. it?s not hard to just slap a fake smile on your face listen to people when they talk.
Back to Texas. I have a hotel room in Waffle House. There was only one other person in business. The staff seemed to give a possible new setting a hard time by confused instructions. He was frustrated by the other employees who laughed at him. My order came right, but my spouse came wrong. Not bad enough to return. Maybe the fact that there were only 3 males was an attitude to play around. The other patron was an older man sitting at the counter and telling stories how he had worked with a number of remarkable musicians. Maybe better management?
Met up with a friend who was heading through the area at 03:30am. At that time there aren?t many options that would not be too much of a detour for him. We were told we could order but it would be required to be take out. There was one employee there, working alone. We had no choice but to eat in my car. Also, limited menu due to being understaffed.
Stop at 2:40 a.m. to order a togo order for 20 sausage cheese 20 bacon eggs cheese toaster sandwiches for my hungry drivers in Southern Glazer?s wine spirits to the driver appreciation week. Spencer and Doug didn't hunt an eye. Great service and super nice guys
Great. The cook did a great job, but I didn't even feel like the cash registers live. If I wasn't so hungry, I would have cursed her, but I'm glad I didn't do it? But they still did great. Work on this attitude! You never know what someone's going through!
