ほり Chuān Mǔ Jiā - Shimoda-shi

The traditional Japanese house setting and the fugu course served while overlooking the garden was excellent. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. It is one of the few great restaurants in Usuki where you can have a special meal with important guests. I will definitely visit again!

We tried the fugu course dinner. The sashimi had a firm texture and was very delicious. The hot pot had a rich and fresh liver flavor without any unpleasant smell, and the fried fugu was recommendable for its tender flesh and well-balanced coating. It would have been nice to have some fugu meat in addition to just the bones in the hot pot, and the quality of the porridge and dessert was slightly unsatisfactory.

I had the lunch seafood bowl set. I enjoyed it in a beautiful garden setting, feeling quite luxurious. The seafood in Oita is delicious. Next time, I'll try the blowfish.

木造の趣ある建物でした。 ふぐの炊き込みごはんとてもおいしかったです！ お刺身もおいしかった！ ランチだと手軽に行けます！

家族でランチに訪れた。 祝日の12時30分前で、特に予約していなかったがスムーズに入店できた。 ただし「予約なしですか？ちょっと待ってください。確認します」と言われて、その後「大丈夫です」と言われたので、もしかしたら、予約して訪れた方が賢明なお店なのかもしれない。 通された葵の間からは綺麗なお庭が見えてなかなか雰囲気がよかった 海鮮丼セットとほり川膳（ふぐの釜飯）を注文。 私は海鮮丼セットを食べたが、お刺身がたっぷりのっていて美味しかった ほり川膳のふぐの釜飯も、トラフグではなさそう（かなりいい加減だが・・・）だが美味しかった。ボリュームもまずまず。 ランチに付いているその他のものは、基本的に共通だった。 お料理の写真撮影はNGとのことで掲載できないのが残念だが、ここは、落ち着いた和室で美味しいお食事が楽しめる。テーブル席なのもGOOD ちなみに、お値段はどちらも1,800円とちょっぴり高め。
