It is only open on weekends and public holidays and requires a reservation. They offer African goods for sale and occasionally show movies. The tea is affordable and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The mascot dog, Simba, has retired and is now an old dog, which was a bit disappointing. I hope that this place will continue to operate for a long time.
The meal consisted of curry, several types of waffles, and a variety of drinks. The atmosphere was nice, with rooms playing videos where you can relax and watch. However, all rooms were very cold despite having stoves, which was uncomfortable. The curry itself was not spicy, but had a good aroma of spices, similar to a Keema curry, and was very delicious. I would like to visit again when it warms up.
The old Ochiai branch school of Asahida Elementary School in Shimogo Town has been transformed into a new building. Despite the decline in population that has led to the closure of many rural schools, this renovated space now serves as a gathering place where visitors can reminisce and feel a sense of nostalgia as they listen to the echoes of children from the past.
I was deeply moved by the preservation of such a precious building.
