Eating was excellent. the chef stefan could not have been nicer! he talked to us during the meal when we sat at the desk next to his station. he explained all the different meat cuts, the difference in taste and quality. I love this restaurant. it is located in the 54th floor of the building that has the park hyatt hotel in shinjuku. are spectacular. the park hyatt hotel is where the movie “Lost in Translation” it was shot. I ate there 25 years ago at my first visit to tokio. still a fantastic restaurant.
TPHNYG never disappoints. From the personal reception walking off the elevator to being greeted by name by the general manager at the table. All staff are always attentive, aware, and on point. The food is always fresh, tasty, and cooked to perfection. This was probably my third visit and every experience has been exceptional. Weekday semi-lunch buffet is the absolute best value in Tokyo. Every time I visit Tokyo, I make it a priority to visit.
The meal and the views were AMAZING! We had a group of ten and everyone loved it!
Order mistake, taking away unfinished drinks, taking away butter before the bread is finished, ... Not the kind of service you would expect from a restaurant in this price range. Good food, but poor service (doesn’t count for all the staff of course). You can feel you’re in a ‘chain’ restaurant and not a private place where costumer service is one of the main priorities. And that’s a shame...
