Chai - Shizuoka

Went here with my vegetarian girlfriend. They have a really good vegetarian curry (called vegetable curry). We got it for lunch and it was very good. Really good Naan bread as well! Extremely fast service, we got water with ice as soon as we sat down, shortly followed by a salad. The curries came within five minutes of ordering! I am not sure if there are vegan options, but there are definitely at least one vegetarian option. We got Lassie (not vegan) to drink first time we ever tried it and it was great. Really good, especially if you choose a high spice level (you can choose 5 different spice levels).

Some people here are saying this place has vegan options. But when I called to check what their vegan options were, they didn’t know what “vegan” was, and told me that biryani was the only dish that didn’t contain dairy. I ended up not trying this place. I thought it was risky to try since they didn’t even know the definition of vegan.
