Travelers Choice Grill - Shoreline Park

Great classic diner food. Our group had the Southern Belle Omelet, Irish Fries (yum), hickory burger, classic burger, the best club sandwich ever and chicken strips. This is worth the stop. Oh, did I mention chocolate chip pancakes? Everything was sooooo good! When we arrived our party looked around. They could not believe this is where we were stopping to eat. The reviews were good and we were hungry. It may not look like much on the outside but it is well worth the stop! The staff was friendly and welcoming and the food amazing. There was a small sign in the restroom that said they lost the hotel and restaurant during Katrina but have worked hard to rebuild. This is one stop you don't want to pass up! Make a difference and support hard working survivors! It's a win win. The food is so worth the stop just a plus you could make a difference too!

I really really wanted to like this place since it was a locally owner diner and has pretty good food. However, after seeing the staff fill the ice machine with ice from a kitty litter bucket and seeing the cook come straight in after smoking and start touching my toast without washing his hands I just can't come back here.

When I first walked thru the door, the waitress was nodding out, the cook looked bored, and the single customer was sipping coffee at a corner table. I sat down at a table with bench window seats lining the length of the restaurant. I ordered coffee the gulf shrimp omelette, which came with hash browns a biscuit. The coffee was good and hot, the hash browns crisp, the biscuit toasted, and the omelet delicious! All in all, the food was outstanding and the service excellent ... so much for first impressions!

Had breakfast here. What a treat! ! The Bacon was the best, hash browns were as good as I have had in memory, and the eggs prepared just as I had specified. Also had sample of wife's omellette unbelievable!!! The waitress friendly and right there with the great coffee. The adjacent motel has a unique outside appearance, wouldn't hesitate to stay if I was needed overnight. Overall a very enjoyable stop.

It doesn't look like a place you would want to eat anything in, but to my surprise WOW ! This was the best breakfast i had in a........... I can't even remember! Great food !!! Trust me. I'm very picky when it comes to food. Also : there is a motel right next to it. Didn't stay there, but i tought it would be helpful ;
