Abby Singer's Bistro - Shreveport

We absolutely loved the charm of this place. The outdoor balcony offered a lovely view of historic downtown Shreveport and provided a very tranquil atmosphere. However, that's where the positives end, which is why I'm giving it just 2 stars. The service, though friendly, was quite slow. We arrived at 6:15, ordered waters, and didn’t receive them until around 6:45. Our food finally came out at about 7:45, which left us in a bit of a bind since we had somewhere to be at 8. We ended up having to get it boxed to go, missing out on the chance to enjoy our meal there. Our server didn’t check back with us for drink refills either. I understand that many places are short-staffed these days, but I’ve never encountered service like this before. As for the food, it was just okay. I’d recommend coming here only if you have around three hours to spare for a leisurely dinner.

We had a wonderful time enjoying the food and the atmosphere! The staff was incredibly friendly. The "Make My Day" old fashioned was fantastic! This place is definitely on our list to visit again the next time we're in town!

We had a good experience tonight, the food was tasty and everyone was friendly. I ordered the pasta which was flavorful and spicy, my guy ordered the Cuban which he enjoyed. We also enjoyed the Mama Mia and the Hemingway from the drink menu.

Chicken and waffles are always a delight! The burger of the month was interesting but just okay.

I arrived at 5:55 PM and it’s now 7:34 PM, and I still haven't received my food. This is terrible. I don't know what has happened to this restaurant; it used to be fantastic and was always my go-to spot for date nights. However, the last eight visits have been slow and disappointing. I hate to say it, but I won't be returning. I really wish they would hire dependable staff. It's a shame. I couldn't recommend this place less, which is a complete turnaround from what I would have said just a year ago.
