Smokey Joe's Café At Sam's Town

The chicken pasta was amazing! The sauce truly elevated the dish, complemented perfectly by the broccoli and bell pepper. I ended up ordering extra breadsticks because they were so good! Our server was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better!

We decided to visit this restaurant since the buffet was closed on Monday. We all ordered catfish, with two of my friends opting for it fried while I chose the blackened version. There was a generous portion, and it was fresh and delicious. The only downside was the long wait for our food; we ended up waiting around 35 minutes. However, I understand that it takes time to prepare a lot of fish. I ordered mashed potatoes and gravy, along with an ear of corn. The corn was a bit mushy, but I still enjoyed it. My friends had the sweet potatoes, which unfortunately weren't very good because they were overwhelmed with bitter cinnamon—they hadn't cooked it down enough. The female server was very friendly and polite, and so were the cashier and the manager. Overall, we had a pleasant experience, although it was a bit pricey at $16 each for the catfish. I would still recommend this place.

Smokey Joe's is amazing! They serve the best boudin balls and Creole dishes in Shreveport. You have to try it for yourself—you'll be delighted by their freshly prepared meals and top-notch service. I can't wait to go back. Delicious!

The food was excellent and much better than the photos suggest. Unfortunately, the service was a completely different story and was truly dreadful. Our waitress never returned after serving our drinks, so we had to ask another server for a refill. When it came time for our meals, they were brought out by a different person, and we had to inquire separately about them. When we finally wanted to settle the bill, there was no one available, so we went to the checkout counter to pay, only for the cashier to walk away! We had to find someone else who then called the cashier back so we could complete our payment and leave. I will not be returning to this restaurant. Instead, spend a little more and visit William B's Steakhouse just down the hall; they genuinely care about their customers, and their food is exceptional.

I generally don?t leave reviews but honestly the food was so bad I kindve felt like I had to on this one?The food is absolutely terrible! Placed a to go order, we were missing items and what we did get was DEFINITELY over priced! The staff were friendly on the upside, just terrible food.
