Spur of the moment, popped in for breakfast quite late in the morning just before Brunch was due to start. Had a lovely breakfast. Helped ourselves to starters from the Buffet fresh fruit, pastries, very good cold meats and cheeses, bread, cakes fruit juices and cereals; more than enough with out the cooked breakfast. We decided to have the cooked breakfast, too, however, and were not disappointed. My husband had the Eggs Benedict and said it was really very good lovely fresh orange yoked eggs. I had the Full English consisting of excellent sausage, bacon, egg, black pudding, mushrooms and lots of hot, properly cooked toast. Coffee was not brilliant, but overall a very good breakfast. I would eat there again and would happily recommend. Waiter was first class and also very pleasant.
It has been approximately two years since my last visit to this restaurant, during which time there have been changes in chefs and concepts. My previous experience was for a special occasion, where the bill exceeded £100. This time, I was looking for a more budget-friendly option. I must say that my previous experience was positive, with exceptional food and service. Based on a recommendation from a man in the pub, I made a reservation for 18:30 and opted for the set menu. I had calamari as a starter and my wife had goats cheese, followed by haddock on leeks mashed potato with hollandaise sauce, and finished with chocolate sponge for dessert. The food was well-presented, well-cooked, and flavorful. Although the menu options were somewhat limited, the dishes were well-executed, lacking a bit of creativity. However, at £16.50 for a 3-course meal between 17:30-19:30, it was excellent value for money. The menus change regularly, so I would consider dining here again. I would rate this restaurant as 'good' rather than just 'average'.
This restaurant exceeded our expectations! We selected it primarily because we were staying at the Wynnstay Hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised by the impeccable service and impressive menu options. The quality and presentation of the dishes were outstanding.
This really is a fantastic place to eat. The Sapori Restaurant, or Four Seasons as I think it is now called according to their website is completely understated, but really does offer a gourmet experience. We had the degustation menu, which included: tomato veloute, chicken fois gras, crab cannelloni, scallops, lamb, and an assiette gourmand of desserts. They were all beautifully presented and delivered an amazing taste experience. Plus at under £50 per person it was really good value. The service was also fantastic you simply could not fault the staff. The executive chef deserves all the praise he gets, and we would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.
