Good quality taste menu that you can have with a wine flight. good service. not cheap, but it is worth for this special celebration, we have enjoyed it and will go back

They eat there a lot and had taken off during the lockdown. incredible food that deserves meelin attention and mention. creative, experimental fine dining that is delicious and also a wonderful atmosphere. just wish it was easier to get a table

Fabulous vegan tasting menu!I was really appreciative that the chef created a vegan tasting menu for my partner. Really hard to get in restaurants of this calibre, whilst still letting me enjoy the normal tasting menu. Only other restaurants where we’ve managed to do this are The Fat Duck, Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons The Kitchin. The Fat Duck still holds the number one spot for us, but The Walrus comes in at an easy second place of the 4. The scallop tartare were the favourite courses for me whilst my partner loved the crispy tofu lasagne of mushroom courses best. This chefs, Ben Carla are true geniuses with sauce creation matching, The accompanying Wine Tour was perfect too, with the Austrian Riesling and Gruner Veltliner being our favourite.Make a trip to Shrewsbury especially for this restaurant, it really is worth it!

Superb food, amazing service, and great ambience, a really super evening out!

Probably the best restaurant in Shrewsbury, certainly the best I've visited.Some really sublime food highlights were torched scallops, and a pigeon dish which had a wonderful boudin noir along with the roasted breast.Matched wines are well chosen (and explained), and served as sensible quantities which works well for the six course meal without leaving you legless by the last dessert. Best glass was probably the Tokaj with the penultimate course excellent alongside the rhubarb based pud.The restaurant space is very pleasant and not too noisy more cosy bistro than art-gallery and the staff are friendly and attentive.At £60 per head (plus £30) for wines, it's good value for the quality, and definitely worth it next time you want to have a special meal out!
