Excellent and fresh food, super service and very well cleaned table against COVID

Very good restaurant for local food in Shymkent. Ambience is great.

We visited Kok Saray twice during our 3 day stay in Shymkent. The outdoor terrace is very nice on warm evening. The food was excellent on both occasions. We loved the Tashkent Plov and the shashlyk. Friendly staff, good service and very reasonable prices.

The place is really nice. It has a great interior and comfortable seating. The food was quite tasty and at a great price. They serve authentic Uzbek food. The downside was the service. Although our waiter was felt and helpful, when it came to serving our food, one couple received their complete order before the other couple received any of theirs, even though the orders were practically the same. I still recommend eating here, but don't set your service expectations to high.

Perhaps this plaace used to be good in the past but for the time being the place and the quality of foods are not value for money, the quality of food is low and in general all the interior and furniture are obsolete and none hygienic and very old...this place need to live up to its past good times. Time to do major overhauling...
