Joe Schmucks Roadhouse - Sicamous

They don't have a vegan menu anymore. when we asked that the server immediately became rude and easy to say, not to believe what we read online. they said they had nothing for us (they have one beyond burger) and then we insisted on telling her what we wanted. we went and went to the food store. She told us there's no place for us. we felt absolutely unwilling. I guess she's not kind all the time. we were polite, not demanding and friendly despite their obvious wut.

We live in calgary, but often come out here and only yesterday learned about the vegan menu at joe jewellery. we both had the one beyond burger who was so good. they use black Sheep cheese that is local and the absolute best. there were only 2 vegan elements on the menu, while if they look online, there are about 8 or 10. we asked the server if there was a vegan menu and she didn't say now (covid, I think so we asked about the beyond burger and chick-guided (on menu) and she had no idea that they were vegan (she offered us an salatbunk because they were always vegan mixed with gluten-free). later she told us she was new. this said, ask them because they might not train the server on it. they asked the kitchen and they knew the answer. big little town!

We were delayed in traffic and had to break a meal at a vegan place we were delighted by in kelowna . we found this place here in happier ****, but did not realize how great the vegan menu was such a beautiful surprise after we lacked our booking in kelowna this is a hidden gem

Her new vegan menu has many options and so far I have tried the taco salad (which was amazing) and the garlic braut plate with bruschetta. everything so good! I will try again, more dinge. best option for vegan in sicamous hands down. this restaurant serves meat and some of the decoration makes fun of vegetarians if that disturbs them.

March 2019 Joe Schumucks has released a vegan menu with meal items for any time of the day. Comfort food is what they do and their Vegan Menu embraces this. The make use of the Beyond Meat patties in many ways and have vegan cheese and mayo. I expect their menu to improve as new Beyond Meat items become available as their head chef eats vegan for years now. You won’t find better vegan options in Sicamous and they’re right on the highway. I should note that this is NOT a vegan restaurant, they are doing their best to provide vegan options!
