I like this type of services because everyone can eat whatever they like and are not tied to specific...dishes. In their patio, they had a llama and an alpaca and we took pictures with them. I also bought my baby alpaca hat
It's a stop for lunch for the journey from Puno to Cuzco. Buffet lunch and drinks are chargeable. There are people playing Charango and guitar too. There is Alpaca and other animals outside for photo taking.
The restaurant offers a welcome lunch break on the road between puno and cusco. the very large buffet has something for every taste. my only criticism would be that, as in many buffets, eating would not consistently be as hot as I prefer it....I was able to find sufficient vegan dishes to meet my nutritional requirements. the toilets were clean and well equipped.
A very good buffet in the middle of nowhere. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. There were many choices.
Between Cusco and Puno, there aren't too many choices for groups. This place does a brisk business with tour groups and busses, and the place is clean, well lit, with a good selection of typical Peruvian dishes. Although it was quite busy, our group of...ten fit comfortably at two tables without reservations, and the buffet included ample choices that hit the spot for almost everyone. The problem here is service, which is basically non existent. Dishes run out, and they replenish them when they get around to it. Requests don't seem to make any impact. One of our group was sick, and could only eat chicken soup and banana. The chicken soup was out for minutes, and nothing could get her a bowl of broth until someone came out with a whole pot to replenish the serving dish. She asked for a banana (it's price fixe, and she paid what everyone else did) and was told they had none, though one of the deserts was a sugar coated, syrupy fresh banana dish, clearly made with fresh bananas- would it have killed anyone to offer her half a fresh banana?? The tea water ran out (from a hot pot fairly small for the size of the dining room), and minutes after my first two requests, they took the pot to refill. At minutes, the pot was at degrees (the serving temp had been degrees earlier). At high altitude, boiling time is way way longer, so at minutes post request (by which time most of the dining room was waiting for tea) one of the guides told them to put on a kettle. At minutes, there was enough hot water for about cups of tea from the kettle, with about people waiting.... pretty inexcusable... Drinks other than tea you pay for individually, but someone has to unlock the drink fridge (the person with the cart left half way through the meal for unknown reasons) which can take some time....there are some alpacas outside for photo ops (for small tip), and the bathrooms are clean.
