I hate to say bad things about the place because i don't want to hurt people's livelihood. With that being say the food i ate didn't last two hours in my stomach. I think we got food poison, both my son and I. He had steak quesadillas with rice and beans and i had a steak burrito. The beans i think were bad and the mystery meat was grey in color after i asked to have it well done. It was chewy and it had a bit of a weird smell to it. The bakery next door was very nice. The restaurant looked like they were gonna knock it out the park. But sadly they struck out in my opinion. Again we all have a bad day here and there. Sorry to say that with all the other great choices in the area that i already know are great, I will not ever go there again.
They used to have really good service when the staff were all male. Now the staff is very unattentive and once they bring your food don't expect them to come back. The food has also gone bland and expensive. I went to los Gallos because I was visiting one of the best Latino Gay Clubs in Chicago 1/2 block east called La Cueva night Club.
Well, unfortunately the food is no longer like before, the raw roast beef, the tortillas are poorly heated and expensive, the owner wants to, when they have fame they think they are very good but I haven't left them with a task, very my humble opinion.
It's 2024 and still no debit card reader for payment. Dios mio!
It was a coveted place for my family, but unfortunately the quality has dropped too much, the roast meat they serve is very low quality, full of skin and fat, and the prices are still the same as other places with meat that is a pleasure to eat (Atotonilcos) .
