Came here before the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and it was not too crowded and I had the Fruit Shaker with a chocolate croissant and it was really good. Highly recommend trying it out.
Great burger spot. Noticed that they were recently skimping on the cheese. Otherwise, great burgers, great service.
Coffee has become weaker and twice as expensive over the last 4 years. I used to go here a lot because it was one of the few coffee chains which had rich regular Brew. It's been going downhill sadly. One star off.
I wanted to like Peets, but the experience was lacking in many ways. They advertise as a premium shop and the price is high end for a coffee shop, but it consistently was lacking. The cold brew was sub par in flavor. For a self advertised premium coffee shop, is cold brew available on nitro. No. Is there any sweet foam available? No. Is there any whip cream available instead? No. Can we have a plate with our pasty? No they don't have plates. Can we at least have a knife to cut our pastry? No they don't have knives. Do you have any ability to cut it in the back? No. Is the card reader working for payment? No, it's acting up. Is there any way we can attempt to cut our pasty to share it? Only a plastic spoon and some napkins. The staff was not rude, but also not very pleasant. Two cold brew and a small pastry was around $18.The atmosphere: tables were a bit dirty /sticky (Sunday morning at 8:30 so not too long after opening) and the music choice was rock which is a little rough for a Sunday morning.Eco friendly: No. Even for dine in, plastic cups only and plastic straws and plastic spoons. No recycling available.Overall I wanted to like Peets and was excited to try it, but as a local to south loop I would recommend looking elseware at the other local options for a coffee shop
