Feedback gevenRestaurant is very expensive and very loud. Food is unexceptional except for the price. Service was average. There is absolutely nothing special about this place, except that it's in a very scene-y neighborhood. With so many killer restaurant choices in this city, choose something else.
This was our favourite restaurant in Chicago, we use to go there pretty often back in the years. Let me tell you what happened yesterday- We went there with our kids and asked for a table outside. The Serbian hostess refused to sit us even though there was 4—5 tables available. She said — I’m sorry may be next time, didn’t even gave us an option to wait, to be seated. Tavern on Rush never disappoints. Our waitress was amazing and incredibly accommodating to our large group. Food was amazing. I highly recommend the lemon jalapeño chicken. It's a shame they're closing at the end of the year.
Tavern on Rush has been known as one of the best places in all of Chicago for the last 25 years. If you sit inside or on the patio you will not be disappointed! You will likely run in friends or celebrities at this chicago staple! All of the food selections are traditionally great options. The chicken Parmesan was a favorite this time around. The Seabass my friends raved of. The espresso martinis and wine where exactly what we needed. Hopefully we’ll make it back before the end of the year!
My boyfriend and I had dinner reservations tonight. We were promptly seated in the upstairs dining room by the hostess and greeted by all staff members we came across. As most of the previous reviews already mention, the food is delicious. We probably don’t need to say it again but can certainly continue to confirm the positive reviews about their menu.
