Weinschmiede Siegburg

I went to this place with my Mum to have a nice glass of wine in the evening after dinner. The waiter knew a lot about the wines and recommended a very nice, light red wine which was exactly what we were looking for. Staff is friendly and quick and the atmosphere is cosy, yet elegant and cosmopolitan. Definitely a hidden gem in Siegburg!

I had dinner here with some of my friends from Siegburg. On the night we visited the restaurant had live music outside which played a selection of Christmas music, and popular favorites. It was a nice touch and added to the cozy atmosphere.We started our dinner with bread and an antipasto plate which was excellent. I then had a pork roast with apple and blackberry filling. This was delicious and quite an ample portion size.With our meal we drank a 2015 Bodegas Fontana La Estafeta Syrah and a 2014 De Grendel Shiraz. Both were delicious and very reasonably priced. We finished with a Lantenhammer Vogelbeer schnapps.I have been here several times and always enjoy it. One caution: they take only cash, no credit cards! Go prepared!

Grandiose cuisine, fine wines and a charming atmosphere, both inside and outside. Wine making is not a secret tip, so please book in any case. Who reveals the occasion is always surprised. ;
