Gasthaus Peun - Siegen

We had there a very nice evening. You do have to remember that this is not a fast food restaurant. This a restaurant that you need patience to come there. The food is very taisty, fresh, and it made with a lot of love and experience.

Quaint old pub, supposedly the oldest in Siegen. They have an astonishing choice of different beers from all over the world. The food is good, solid local fare with generous portions to go with the beer.

This is one of the oldest inns in Siegen. It's well worth visiting the historical building with such friendly service and tasty food. If it's warm, the outdoors seating area is lovely, but in cooler weather the inside with its wood panel long is really atmospheric. Great menu, and drinks, including non- alcoholic beers for the drivers! Definitely a must in Siegen!

The trouble with traditional German restaurants is that they can be very similar in their offering. I can remember the restaurant which was old and quaint, the service which was very friendly and helpful. and the meal which was delicious and very good value but I can't remember the dishes we actually had! However, this was our first meal in a week long trip and we would certainly return. We booked in advance by email in English and I would advise so doing.Parking was restricted so our disabled companion had to be dropped off and the car parked near by.

I was here for my husband's company Christmas gathering. First impression, the restaurant is a traditional German restaurant. Since it's a very old building and the seats arrangements were tight and the furniture were old too, the seats were not that comfortable and we had backache the whole night. Food was fine but the service was so slow. There were just 2 staffs working there for that night and serving around 20 persons from our group.
