Thank you for everything! we will definitely come back to see the new room degotations, which although not yet finished was really wonderful! soon will be, nicholas and beatrice
Found by a friend's advice. the structure is a farm with production of different wines. I did my degotation and found myself very well. excellent explanation and courtesy of the staff and excellent wines. Try
We had a magical Tuscan experience at Poggio Grande. Earlier in the week a local wine shop had recommended we visit and it did not disappoint. Luca and Giulitta, the proprietors, were our hosts. These served us many delicious wines to taste as well as a beautiful platter of meats and cheeses. We sat on a lovely shaded terrace overlooking the Val D’Orcia truly stunning! This is a small producer which provided us with such hospitality that it felt like we were meeting with old friends! The wines were excellent and we are looking forward to drinking what they are shipping to us at home and reliving a perfect day!
We went there on a private tour the food was beautiful and fresh local produce with matching wines. Our guide/ waiter explained every wine and we enjoyed all wines and food. Be warned you will love the wine so much and after 6 tasting buy several (which are not cheap but are worth it)
We took a Vesper tour that brought us to this beautiful vineyard for lunch with wine tasting. I am gluten free and the tour guide overheard my husband telling the other couple that we were with this. The guide then went and told the restaurant and they accommodated me with gluten free crackers and pasta. Now, that's beyond anything I was expecting! I just figured I'd eat salad and that would be that. I was wrong. The Italians have gluten free pasta to the point where, if you didn't know it was gf, you'd never know. The sauce was light and delicious. All the toppings on my crackers (slices of wonderful looking Italian bread for everyone else) were delightful. They also offered us a wine tasting. Since I was driving my own Vesper, I have a rule: If I'm driving something with two wheels, I do not drink alcohol, so I didn't partake. But everyone else did and they raved about this vineyards offering. Afterwards we went into their shop and bought six bottles to ship home and also got some of their first pressed olive oil which is just delightful! All in all, we had a fun stop at this vineyard for lunch and if you're in the area, check it out. You will not be disappointed!
