Gallo Nero - SIENA

This restaurant might be our favorite restaurant in all of Italy. We loved it so much, we went twice during our stay in Siena. The food is outstanding, not only from the homemade bread and complimentary beef tartar, but to the must have crispy egg with pecorino cheese foam, cocoa, mushroom and truffle. Even our kids loved it. The restaurant is breathtaking housed in a 1,000 year old building and the staff is friendly, welcoming and fun. We loved it so much, we ditched our kids one night and went back as a couple for a romantic date.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and could not have been better! Food, service, ambiance not expensive! We all felt we were at a 5 star restaurant! This is how all dining experiences should be!

Lovely food and atmosphere although we felt rushed, we had 3 courses and were in and out in 75 minutes vs 2-3 hours in other restaurants. We were encouraged to have the house starter crispy egg with pecorino cheese foam, cocoa, mushroom, and truffle, delicious. Had we not felt so rushed we might have gone back again

Advertise the restaurant as a place specializing in medieval Tuscan cuisine, many recommended it. located in a quiet street away from the bustle of siena, I would like to call to book before going, I send you the web page so that you can look for the phone number. shopping is reasonable if you ask one of the typical menus, such as the medieval menu with drinks and desserts included for 25 euros which is very abundant and caratetristic, with dishes that hardly meet in other places. the service is cozy and comfortable.

Restaurant located in the center of siena in via del porrione. excellent medieval cuisine with good value for money. is one of the most famous restaurants in the city, the location is very intriguing rustic and characteristic. dishes are typical of the Sienese cuisine, maintaining its quality and simplicity. recipes are those of the tradition mixed with medieval dishes, you can make a degotation menu at 10 euros, and sip excellent wine...that I am not even saying to be great, as in this area where you fall well! some hand painted ceramics are also sold. If I think of the pici I ate in the black dick with a Siena sauce cinta, I take the water.
