We visited this restaurant twice. The first time (on 18th December) we waited at the sign to be seated for 5 minutes while we were systematically ignored by all waiting staff. Eventually, since the restaurant was 80% empty, we went to find a table ourselves. Immediately when we found a table, a waiter rushed over and told us that we have to wait at the sign to be seated. We explained that we had waited there for 5 minutes and he replied no you didn't, I was watching you! Since our kids were so hungry, despite this terrible welcome, we ordered and the food was actually ok. The second time we visited, on 21st December, which surely must be absolutely the peak time of year in this town, we waited 15 minutes at the door, where we were once again systematically ignored. Eventually the waitress came close and the couple waiting behind us explained that we are all waiting for ages. She responded that there are only 3 waiting staff. At this point we decided that this restaurant must not want any business. When you think that this is Christmas time in the home of Santa Claus, it's hard to comprehend a big restaurant which only has 3 waiting staff at peak time. Such a shame they have a huge, well appointed restaurant, even a small kids corner and good food. Even if they were short staffed for some inexplicable reason at least the waiting staff could have acknowledged us and explained that they'll be with us shortly.
Not a good experience. the pasta with chicken was tasteless and girlfriend had a spider on a pizza. No decent excuses, only a new pizza and a small discount.
We had heard really good things about Rosso in Rovaneimi, so we booked in January for a table at the end of February. WE REGRET THIS. We sat at our reserved table and our order was taken within 10 minutes. This was okay Our drinks came quickly but It took about 1 hour for our food to come out. I ordered pizza and she ordered pasta. Pizza just tasted a bit doughy and only tasted of cheap cheese. The pasta dish tasted like an instant pasta with sauce out of a dried packet. With the slow service and the poor food we figured we would try and leave as quick as possible. It took another 20 minutes or so for someone to offer us the bill. For a restaurant that is suppose to be clean a lot of tables left dirty long after people have left. Stuff on the tables and papers on the floor POOR FOOD, POOR SERVICE, POOR EXPERIENCE I don’t believe the poor service is the servers fault but rather managements fault for having only 2 people waiting tables for a poor restaurant. A response from Rosso would be great but I see they ignore all reviews
Good steak and a large bottle red recommended by their staff. the service is also excellent
