Chente Taqueria - Silver City

This restaurant in silver city, new mexico, was a great little place to get away. the people are so welcoming and eating was tasteful.

Have always enjoyed good tacos and friendly service at this place. Tonight was the most inept and unpleasant experience I've had in a restaurant in years. Mistake with our order, which happens, no biggie. But after asking about it, we got so much attitude plates dropped in front of us, eye rolls, etc. I was told if I didn't like it, I didn't need to come back. Don't worry I never will. Good agua fresca.

1 Taco Tuesday. Love this place! Good food, nice staff. Each taco comes with a lime. The only cons are the amount of fly's that swarm your food if you're sitting outside.

My wife and I have been there 3 times in the last month and the food has always been awesome. They give you great home made tortilla chips and great salsa with you meal. Yum!

We've visited Silver City 4 times in the past year, and have been to Chente every time, having a perfectly fine experience. Tonight was ridiculously bad. I'm not that hard to please, I understand that mistakes happen. But tonight, when we inquired about the fact that 2 of our 3 dinners weren't yet delivered 15 minutes after the 3rd one of us had already finished eating, we got a whole lot of attitude from the server. Again, the mistake with the order wasn't that big a deal. The eye rolls, plates dropped in front of us, sneering sorry those were unacceptable. I told her to drop the attitude. The counter staff told me that if I didn't like it, I could leave. I will not return to this place. The tacos are good, but definitely not good enough to be treated like an annoyance when requesting that we actually receive the food we paid for and had pre tipped on . If I could have the last hour of my life back, I would make very different choices.
