I should have READ the reviews before going. I came to DC for a vacation and found this Haitian restaurant near my Airbnb. I wanted to give it a try and i was absolutely disappointed. The service is BAD. I arrived inside the restaurant at 7pm, it took 30 minutes to get a cup of water, I never received the drink I ordered and the food arrived at 8:30pm. when the food arrived I did ask again for my cocktail but it never arrived. I didn't say anything because the taste of the food was ok. When I asked for my check, I saw listed the drink that I never received. I complained and the waiter apologized then said he would bring me now while I was about to pay and leave. I declined and asked to be taken off my bill, then paid And went. also be aware they will charge you 18% for a service while there is BAD I would say No service provided.
Customer service was amazing, inside was ver nice and clean. I loved loved the beautiful paintings inside The food was amazing and it definitely made my night.
Will not be back. We were seated immediately. The server came to our table with menu’s and water 25 min later. 30 min later, we’re still sitting here. No one has been back to get our order. The table next to us had been waiting even longer. This is unprofessional, and it’s horrible service. I’ve heard great reviews about the food but if you have time and energy to waste this maybe for you. I could have cooked the meal at home and ate and would still have been waiting at the table. I forgot to mention this is the second time we have tried this establishment with the same results. The ambiance is decent. Music is not loud and the decor is authentic.
The food was super delicious. It's like a party in my mouth. The guava passion fruit juice were awesome. Great Haitian cuisine. ??Food: 5/5
