The place is somewhere excellent and very good. The food is very good, the service is excellent, they are very helpful. However, the place is outdated, it should be renovated. The toilets are clean, but the doors do not close very well. I'll come back for dinner.
We were looking for a place away from Peles castle, as the reviews were so variable and the prices closer to the castle appeared to be high. We noticed a previous review of this place and decided to try it. It was a really good...experience. The restaurant is located away from the hubbub of the castle, on the way to a nature area we did not have to pay the entry fee as we said we were going to the hotel’s restaurant). The menu was limited but good. For RON 59, we were given potato chips, cabbage salad, beans, bread and then 6 different types of meat. small portions thank heavens) They were all delicious. The service was fine and the location next to a little stream in the forest was lovely.
Although the environment is quite dated, my friend and I enjoyed a three courses traditional Romanian meal with wine for £15 for both of us. basic filling food including soup, beef and pancakes. Worth a visit if you're on a budget.
We stayed at Stavilar Hotel for a weekend and enjoyed several meals at the restaurant. Breakfast has 4 menu options that combine cheese, meat (cold or warm sausages), jam/honey plus egg variations, tea and coffee. For those who eat less, there is a...la-carte menu, but not many choices for vegan / vegetarian or those with gluten-free diet. Lunch was great with very delicious soup/sour soup and several choices for the main course. They also offer menu choices that include 3 courses and are delicious and quite expensive. The staff was very friendly and friendly. The place itself lacks decoration or style and would definitely need some renovation, but is very clean. Dinner does not enjoy a dedicated menu with salads or something on the light side, but you can choose from a list of steaks, fish and ancillary dishes and deserts. The place was full on weekends (it only has about 10 tables inside), but left on Sunday night as most tourists returned home after a short trip. If you are looking for traditional food with taste and not over price, go to Stavilar and you will not regret it.
