The Esplanade is a stunning art theater in Singapore, famously characterized by its two spiky domes that resemble the region's renowned fruit, the durian. This iconic structure is even featured on the country's five-cent coin. It stands majestically at Marina Bay, close to another famous landmark, the Merlion. The venue regularly hosts a variety of art performances, exhibitions, and shows. It attracts numerous tourists and is a must-visit destination while in Singapore.

This venue is outstanding for hosting musical events. It features three levels with great sightlines. The acoustics and lighting are exceptional, and the entire space is fully air-conditioned. The seating is also very comfortable.

A wonderful place to visit, even if you’re not attending a paid performance. There are plenty of outdoor spaces to explore and beautiful views to appreciate. Additionally, there are numerous free performances to enjoy as well. I recently attended a paid performance called "Blast from the Past," and it was incredibly enjoyable, even with the COVID restrictions in place.

There's a small area to the left of the main entrance where you can discover more about the fascinating history of the cherished "durian"! I visited last Sunday and enjoyed some free live performances, both indoors and outdoors. Additionally, there was a fantastic view of Marina Bay Sands and the Merlion!
