On another note, I really enjoy their curry chicken noodles when I’m not in the mood to head to the Hong Lim hawker center for their curry mee. I usually find the curry noodles so filling that I can’t finish them. The curry itself is quite good—savory, thick, and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice to give it a nice kick. However, like many curry chicken noodles, there is some oil floating on top, so this dish may not be the best choice for those looking to avoid greasy or heavy meals.
I ordered the half chicken with two servings of rice for $17.50, which I found to be a reasonable price for a food court meal. The chili accompanying the dish was quite thick and perfectly suited to our taste! The Hainanese chicken is traditionally served chilled, allowing the skin to become gelatinous, and it just melted in my mouth. The soup included a nice large carrot, and you even have the option to add chicken feet if you want! It makes for an excellent dinner choice, but be warned—the chicken often sells out by 6 PM. After hearing some negative reviews about the bean sprouts, I chose to skip them.
