I think it works cause the food is absolutely spot on. We ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, palak panneer, butter naans, draught beer. The spices and flavours were amazing. The service was fantastic as well, very friendly and objective, got us cut onions and chillies. The meal was very reasonable as well. This has becomes my new goto Indian restaurant on the east! The chef is apparently from Orissa and runs a great kitchen. Must visit place!
This could be my new favorite Indian place.. great food and excellent service. Had the popular holy butter chicken and mutton biryani, which are great if you want the usual fare. Also had the vegetable jalfrezi, and enjoyed the smoky flavor of charred veg amid all those herbs and spices. But the real star for me was the prawn chatpata. Its not something I would usually order but thanks to the staff who recommended it, this made the whole meal shine. Good spice, not sweet, not red lol, big prawns swimming in lots of tasty gravy. Had to order extra naan just to finish it off. The folks running the place were very friendly and helpful that day. Even gave us free dessert after that big meal. For a Sunday lunch the place wasnt busy at all.
SO GOOD! Way better than overpriced Zaffron in the area. Been back a couple of times. Don't be tricked by the lack of dine-in customers. They have non-stop delivery orders. Dine-in tastes better of course so head down if u want fresh piping hot everything! Our go-to place for yummy Indian cuisine in the East!
We decided to try this place because of all the good reviews and for the price it is imo better than the neighbouring Z restaurant. Butter chicken: 4/5 they use tandoori chicken which makes it more special Chana masala: 4/5 solid bowl of chickpea curry Lamb biryani: 2/5 personally not a fan of the biryani rice here because of their spice blend but the lamb is very tender Lacha prata: 5/5 crispy, fragrant and perfect to eat with their curries! Must try!
Why is it not full-house on a Sunday lunch?? Can’t figure!! because enjoyed very much the food here. From outside you may not feel it’s a fancy restaurant but coming in and sitting here is quite comfortable and welcoming. We ordered the platter proteins (meat, shrimp and fish) and really enjoyed it. Okra masala was also superb. I enjoyed the garlic naan in particular but the kids loved the butter and plain naan.
