Curious Palette - Singapore

Interesting place. Food is fine, portion is generous and staff are friendly. Suggest to make reservations before going down as it may get crowded.

I've visited this cafe several times and really appreciate its great location and charming rustic decor, which includes comfortable seating. The coffee is fantastic, especially the flat white with ice cream. The food and desserts are also good, with generous portions. However, I did notice that the cleanliness could use some improvement, as some corners and the sofa area were a bit dusty. Despite that, I will definitely return!

The buttermilk fried chicken was flavorful and tender. I appreciated that the pulled pork was served on rye toast rather than white bread. The berry ricotta hotcake was great for sharing, but I wish there was an option to add more ice cream. The coffee was good as well.

The main dishes were delicious, but the key lime pie was a bit too sweet for our taste. We were fortunate to get a seat at the front of the café where the ceiling was lower, as I noticed that the main seating area was quite noisy. Water was available for free.

I just have to say how much I adore the truffle fries here! They are always perfectly crispy, and the garlic aioli dipping sauce is among the best I’ve ever tried. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the coffee is quite good too. I tried the carbonara and truffle capellini, which were just average, but I highly recommend the strawberry waffles and berry ricotta hotcakes—both portions are generous! I love the decor and the airy atmosphere; it's definitely one of my favorite places to relax on my days off. Grab a friend to share a large serving of truffle fries and enjoy an iced coffee or two—you’ll be well taken care of and leave with full, happy stomachs!
