Kolkata Beckons - Singapore

I had a craving for Indian cuisine and decided to give this restaurant a try. It's conveniently located near Farrer Park MRT, right along Race Course Road. The service was excellent; upon arrival, I was offered a glass of water as well as a green mango drink shot. I ordered using their e-menu and initially thought the Lachcha Paratha would come with gravy on the side, but the staff kindly informed me otherwise. So, I added a Chicken Kosha to my order. The food arrived in under 15 minutes, and both the Lachcha Paratha and Chicken Kosha were just as promised (please see photos from the e-menu). The Chicken Kosha was outstanding and packed with flavor—definitely a must-try!

The food here is exceptional, made even better by the incredibly friendly owner/manager. His warm personality is likely one of the reasons customers keep returning. The dishes are flavorful, and the rasgolla is particularly delightful. The tastes are spot on, and the aromas are refreshing. The artwork on the restaurant walls enhances its charm. This place is definitely worth a visit and then some!

Nostalgia fills the air at this wonderful spot for Bengali cuisine. We kicked off our meal with aam panna, followed by mutton chop, bhetki paturi, luchi, and kosha mangsho, along with a delightful malai dab chingri curry. We wrapped it all up with baked rosogolla and mishti doi—it was the perfect dining experience. Be sure to reserve a table online, as it can get quite busy. The wait staff were extremely polite and attentive. The total cost for the meal was about S$60 per person, which is reasonable for the quality of the dishes offered. Don't miss out on their specials! Bring a good-sized group to truly enjoy the abundant food available.

Delicious food and exceptional service. It's as authentic as it can be. We tried the fish, mutton, and chicken dishes, and all their recommendations were perfect. The host was very friendly and attentive. The food arrived steaming hot and tasted fantastic. And definitely don't skip the dessert!

This is a fantastic alternative to Mustard restaurant! We loved the service and the food; every dish we tried was delightful. The fried fish, mustard fish, and mutton curry were standout dishes—especially the mutton, which was incredibly soft and tender. We can't wait to come back!
