When I brought it to the team's attention, the female staff member seemed a bit surprised at first but eventually offered to replace my bowl. I declined since I was almost finished with my noodles and couldn't eat another bowl. Despite that, the broth was rich and flavorful—perhaps even more so with the surprise addition! The staff remained friendly and polite throughout my visit. I would definitely come back again!
I tried the Tonkotsu Ramen, and it was impressive. The broth was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The ramen noodles were thin and springy, with a delightful chewy texture. The pork chashu was wonderfully charred, lean, and generously portioned, while the egg had good flavor, though it wasn’t as runny as I expected. Next up was the Tsukemen, which I absolutely loved. The concentrated umami dipping sauce ensured that my deliciously chewy noodles were coated with flavor with each dip. The charred pork chashu was tender and lean, and the marinated ramen egg and bamboo shoots complemented the dish perfectly. I also tried the Manrigan Maze Soba, which is currently trending in Japan. While I can’t travel to Japan right now, I was thrilled to experience this trend at @ramenchampion_sg. This bowl of maze soba dry ramen was packed with a generous amount of veggies and crispy spicy tempura bits, offering a fantastic variety of textures in each bite. The Mentaiko Gyoza stood out for its contrast between the crispy pan-fried skin and the soft, juicy filling. The skin was thin enough to let the flavorful filling shine through, and the mentaiko sauce added a delectable burst of flavor. Lastly, the Ebi Fry featured five ultra-crispy breaded shrimp, perfectly fried to a golden brown. I could hear the crunch with each bite, even after all my photo-taking. This side dish was truly amazing. The Cold Tofu was a nice appetizer, served chilled and creamy with a Japanese dressing. Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to ramen—some prefer thicker noodles and creamier broth, while others focus on the char siew. Regardless of individual tastes, Ramen Champion offers a wide selection that will definitely satisfy every palate. Follow me on IG: @zoey_belle.
The rich broth is packed with a variety of ingredients and features chewy noodles. This is a self-service restaurant; you place your meal order using a kiosk (don’t worry, staff members are available to help if you’re unsure of how to navigate it) and make your payment once you’ve finalized your choices. Additionally, there’s a QR code on the table for ordering. You’ll receive a queue number and can pick up your meal at the serving counter when your number is called. The ambiance is lovely, and the tables are well arranged, making it a great place to dine alone or with family and friends.
This is a great spot to satisfy your ramen cravings! I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, and I honestly believe it's hard to go wrong with this dish, and it definitely lived up to expectations. The Tsukemen was enjoyable as well, though it became a bit rich after a while, and the broth had a sweeter flavor than I typically prefer. The Agedashi tofu, mentai gyoza, and chawanmushi were average—enough to satisfy your cravings, but not必 to order again. I’d definitely stop by if I’m in the area!
In its current form, the ramen is now made in a central kitchen, unlike before when each stall handled its own food preparation. However, the quality remains high, and the portions—particularly the White Island tonkotsu ramen—are quite generous!
