Next up was the Chicken Tikka (six pieces). With the first bite, I was greeted by a smoky char flavor, quickly followed by an explosion of juiciness from the tender, well-seasoned chicken breast, cooked to absolute perfection. The Butter Chicken also stood out, featuring generous pieces of boneless chicken sautéed in a divine butter cream sauce. This creamy sauce beautifully balances a delightful tanginess with a rich buttery taste, making it the perfect partner for garlic naan. I found myself eagerly scooping up the sauce and chicken until there was nothing left in the bowl. Speaking of garlic naan, I was impressed by its non-greasy, crispy exterior and fluffy, soft interior. The garlic flavor was pleasantly mild, and though it was delicious on its own, I particularly enjoyed it with the butter chicken, as the naan soaked up the gravy beautifully. For dessert, I treated myself to Gulab Jamun—deep-fried Indian milk balls soaked in syrup that they absorb perfectly. I also enjoyed a Mango Lassi, a refreshing and luxurious yogurt and mango drink that concluded the meal on a sweet, milky note. One sip had me smitten. The excellent ambiance and attentive service truly enhanced my overall experience. I highly recommend this exceptional North Indian restaurant for anyone seeking a genuinely authentic dining experience.
The prices are quite reasonable, and the food is pretty tasty. While the menu isn't extensive, it satisfies the cravings. The bread served with the creamy white sauce was definitely the highlight!
- **Sarson Ka Saag Set**: This dish consists of mustard greens (with "Sarson" meaning mustard and "Saag" referring to greens in Hindi/Punjabi) served with Makki Ki Roti. The flavorful curry was perfectly spiced and complemented the corn-based flatbread beautifully. - **Chole Bhatura**: Known as Chana Bhatura, this dish is a beloved Punjabi staple in India. The 'Chole' is a tangy and spiced chickpea curry, while the 'Bhatura' is a soft, fluffy fried bread. The combination of flavors and textures was irresistibly delicious. - **Gulab Jamun**: We finished our meal with these delightful deep-fried milk balls soaked in sugar syrup. I simply couldn’t get enough of this indulgent dessert. - **Mango Lassi and Masala Tea**: The Lassi was refreshing and bursting with natural mango sweetness, while the Masala Tea had a perfect balance of spices. The aroma of the dishes was heavenly, and my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried! If you’re in search of authentic and affordable North Indian cuisine in a spacious, centrally located eatery, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. Don’t miss out on the experience!
