Prices are a little on the high side for cafes but the portions are quite big and suitable for sharing if you're a small eater. Ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich $22) and it was superb! Also must try is their sticky date pudding $10) it is not too sweet which is perfect. Shared it with 2 other girls and it was just nice.
Service with Australian humour and cheekiness from chef Darren! Great service from another female staff! The pumpkin salad and cheeseburger were yummy, and so was the sticky date albeit a little too sweet for me. Will definitely visit again!!
Food is very good, I particularly enjoyed the chicken schnitzel sandwich! The steak and crab cake were good too, my hubby enjoyed! The juice was refreshing as expected!
Local eclectic cafe with home-style food makes any visit comfortable. I stopped in after a work week before the dinner crowd arrived and treated myself to a coffee plus a slice of apple cake to unwind from the office. Not too crowded in the pre-dinner period, the service was quick, my well crafted coffee and a large slice of crispy cookie arrived quickly. The home style quality of the food was evident immediately as the cookie flavor instantly transported me back to Italian biscotti, but the thinness reminded me of the almond-flavored waffle cookies my great aunt used to make and keep in tall coffee tins she would serve when we visited. Muffins were on special, but I asked the friendly staff for a recommendation, and they suggested the apple cake slice. Smooth vanilla yellow cake, with an entire layer of baked apples on top, and an aroma of rich cinnamon. The slice looked a bit large on the plate... Surprisingly i was finishing it before I realized! Definitely a place to return to for homemade eats.
Managed to find parking and walked-in for a table which was great for a Saturday afternoon. pretty cool spot, great service, good food. highly recommend the Pavlova with Fruit Salad!
