But, the place has no toilet, you have to leave the cafe and the go queue at another one outside, not ideal! The staff ran hot and cold, some were lovely, some obviously hate their job and have somehow come to the conclusion that’s the customers fault.
Apart from being usefully set in the grounds of the Quinta da Regaleira, this restaurant has no interest, is overpriced, and is probably our worst food experience in Portugal. Tiny supermarket quality sandwiches, bad cold cuts with not enough bread (we had to pay to get some extra bread ! , tiny bottles of water. Didn't even fill our stomachs. We didn't expect anything special but yery disappointing nonetheless.
The portions are small and way overpriced. Also they take no responsibility for poor quality ingredients. We ordered several wraps and sandwiches. We were ever unimpressed with the size and quality. The salmon sandwich, however, was horrendous. The fish had a terrible smell and was not fresh. However, when we pointed out that the salmon was bad, they disagreed then brought out another bad salmon sandwich. My daughter felt sick and had to wash her hands multiple times to remove the stench.
Sintra...magical, full of history, architecture, culture and a great place to explore While roaming and exploring through the park area make a bee line for this cafe, it gets busy, but there are plenty of tables and they afford a fab view of the architecture Excellent choice on the menu, sandwiches, pastries, crepes. Try the crepe with nuts and honey Speacial thanks to Andreia who had already done a 7 hour shift and had another 4-5 hours to go, but she was fab, greeted us with a happy, friendly, warm smile, apologised for any delay, which we had not problem with as we were in no hurry. She was brilliant. The food was excellent and great portions....and great value
