Mama Lupitas Sweet Treats - Sioux City

We visited this restaurant for breakfast before our son's football game on a Saturday morning. The atmosphere was calm, the service was quick, and the food was delicious with wonderful traditional Mexican homemade flavors.

The chicken enchiladas plate at this restaurant was quite tasty. It was served with a side of rice and the beans tasted fresh.

Our experience at Mama Lupitas was hit or miss. We arrived at 8:55 AM to find a few tables already seated. Despite placing our order promptly, we experienced a long wait for our food. Other customers who arrived after us received their food before we did, including one who ordered to go and left before we were served. When we inquired about our food at 9:40 AM, we were informed that the cook had just started preparing it. Disappointed by the lack of urgency from the staff, we decided to pay our bill and take our food to go. We had enjoyed the food during our first visit and appreciated the restaurant's proximity to our location, but unfortunately, we may have to stick with First Awakenings for our breakfast outings in the future.

We've been here before and had good service. Today, our food took 45 minutes to be served, and it was not busy. Others who came in after us were served their food before us. When it was finally delivered, after we had to ask for it to go because of time constraints, there wasn't even an apology. We will not be back.

Well worth the wait!!! Full plates of homemade goodness. Well seasoned food and pleasant service
