Kalliope Trattoria - SIRACUSA

Not sure where to start. Warm red wine (way above room temperature), a salad that makes McDonalds look like gourmet, and the pizza was the worst thus far in Italy. The ravioli was actually pretty good but could not make up for the rest of the disappointments. Not recommended.

It was just okay. My wife ordered the sea urchin pasta for 16 Euros, I ordered the Zuppa di Mare for 20 Euros. My wife was quite disappointed with her dish, for the price the portion was very small and barely had any sea urchin on it. It was gone before I even dug into my food. My meal was quite good and included prawns, swordfish, clams, mussels, squid, etc. A good deal for the price, but overall we left still hungry after paying 40+ Euro including the charge for water. I probably would not come back.

Good place. Great food. Good, fast service. Got the spinach ravioli and it was tasty. They seem to have good vegetarian options.

Outdoor dining. a lot of places and a little confusion among the waiters. dinner on the average even if a little high price. mark it that it is all gluten-free and I recommend the caponata.

We stayed at this place among friends. the place is very nice, big and cozy. pizza is great. the staff is very kind.
