Pizzeria La Sciccheria - SIRACUSA

Me and my wife had lunch at this restaurant today. The surface was impeccable, the price was very good and the quality of the food was exceptional. We really enjoyed our lunch and the service. Outstanding dishes, and an outstanding experience. Thank you.

I was there for my birthday dinner this Sunday, October 8 2023, and it was a terrible experience. My wife's meat dinner was bland with pressed anonymous meats, similar to a cheap kebab place, and my spaghetti bottarga almost did not have any bottarga just spaghetti. But the worst was that we felt robbed with price of the wine. We were asked if we wanted wine by the glass or a bottle, and we said a bottle of local wine. No price was shown but we expecting what we have been drinking all week in Sicily decent local wine at around 20 25€ a bottle. We never any problems or nasty surprises until now. Our wine here was presented as costing 40€ on the bill! As I say, we felt robbed and would everybody to avoid this place. Don't go you will regret it! I told the owner exactly this and he replied nothing!

Never disappoints ! Serving antipasti, fresh pasta the famous braciole messinesi in abundant portions at very reasonable prices. Restaurant also has a vast selection of local wines and olive oil. A definitely a must try restaurant when in Ortigia.
