Well worth the drive to the picturesque mountain village! Situated in a cute village square with a huge plane tree, Stravodoxari tavern offers traditional Cretan food with equally traditional Cretan hospitality. We tasted their grill meats and found the lamb chops exceptional. They also offer small meze plates with your drink and freshly prepared loukoumades (greek mini doughnuts) at the end. Highly recommended! Kid-friendliness: On village square in a pedestrian zone, you can just let kids roam around safely.
