Albertina - Skaersaa

I love Albertina’s. My first visit was in 1985 during a trip to Sweden. I’ve always wanted to return and finally had the chance. On this trip I actually went twice. Once with my sister and our cousin and his partner and the very next day just my sister and I returned. It’s located in the most quaint old fishing village. Little red homes and boat houses dot the coastline. There’s a boutique across the road featuring local handmade goods. In the same village there’s a glass blower. We were fortunate to visit when we were there. I had the shrimp sandwich which was delicious. The next day I had the smoked salmon filet with potatoes. It was the best salmon I’ve had. So flavorful. There is indoor seating, enclosed patio seating and outdoor seating. I will return to Albertina’s one day. Perfect restaurant.

Some restaurants are worth a detour. This is one of them. Albertina is a charming seafood restaurant overlooking the leisure harbour of a small fishing village. The seating is outdoor or indoor depending on the weather. The service is excellent, and the fish cooking as well. The helpings were generous. And... on our way home from the trip, we made the detour again. That says a lot.

Do you like fish and friendly service? Instead of a stop at Max or McD this is worth the extra milage for a great detour. Just choose the north route if you are traveling with a mobile home.

Beautiful fish restaurant with good trips. service somewhat slow, but the staff was very nice and helpful. they would recommend if they were in the opposite.
