The View - Skegness

We came here based on reading the other reviews. Unfortunately they were all older so we didn't quite know what to expect. There's definitely no vegan bangers and mash anymore. The vegan options were sparse. I ordered a Jacket Potato with beans and vegan cheese. It came with a tiny potato which was microwaved and the skin was hard and crusty like it has been cooked a long time ago. The beans came separately in a small bowl. The worst part was, the grated vegan cheese was put on the plate cold and uncooked so it wasn't even melted. The small side salad came dry. Not even a simple vinaigrettes was drizzled on top. Just appalling. My husband had fish and chips and he was unhappy about the small amount of chips. Although they were chunky, he only got 8 of them. His portion of mushy peas was a mere artistic smear on the plate. Including one glass of wine and a hot chocolate we paid almost 30 pounds for this. Never again. Stay away.

The vegan homemade sausages and homemade chips at this restaurant are excellent. The service is brilliant, with nothing being too much trouble. The portions are huge and the view of the beach is amazing.

The staff happily explained the differences in ingredients between their two veggie burgers and recommended the tastier option. The food was delicious and I plan on returning in the future.

The bangers and mash are delicious and the prices are reasonable. They have a variety of tea and coffee options, as well as alternative milks. However, I have had mixed experiences with the staff's professionalism during multiple visits. One staff member flirtatiously asked to sit with me while I was eating, which made me uncomfortable. Another staff member laughed in the back when I ordered vegan sausages, indicating she was unaware they were on the menu.
