The Busy Bee - Skibbereen

Dirty, no taste food. Never ever again. Has family unfriendly opening hours. Toilets are not nice. Stay away there

This was the worst take away we have ever had!! The chips were raw and I’m not even sure they were chips. The burgers were chewy and tasted as if they were cooked on a dirty grill. The chicken fillet was stringy and partly frozen. Most ended up in the bin.

On a lovely Saturday afternoon, my partner, friends, and I went to Busy Bee restaurant. Unfortunately, the takeout food we received was the worst we have ever had from Busy Bee, despite being locals who hadn't eaten there in years. I ordered a chicken fillet meal, but the bun fell apart, there was no sauce, and the chicken fillet was just thrown in. The chips were undercooked and raw. My partner had the steak sandwich meal, which he said was only okay, but still better than my own. Even his chips were raw. Our friend had a plain chicken burger and didn't seem to mind. Upon returning home, we regret not complaining about the food quality, which is rare for us as we are usually easily pleased. The staff at Busy Bee were not wearing gloves while handling food, both frozen and cooked, which is unacceptable, especially during Covid times. We were disgusted by this lack of hygiene. I would not recommend going to Busy Bee in Skibbereen, as the experience was disappointing and the restaurant's hygiene standards need immediate attention. We will not be returning.

I stopped by this fast food restaurant while in the area. They have plenty of seating available. The menu is what you would expect from a typical fast food place. The food was freshly prepared and reasonably priced. The milkshakes are especially delicious!

Great for kids, just a basic dining or takeaway experience. Not particularly healthy or tasty but does what it sayds on the tin with no frills. Food cooked fresh and service is good and fast.
