The place is small tiny bar, some tables and chairs but it has a nice ambiance and there's a great little patio for outdoor eating. They use local fresh ingredients in all their cooking and baking. They also give tours of their gristmill and have a gift shop.
We wanted to love it. We stopped by for lunch and it was a disaster. The menu was small and I ordered a grilled cheese with chips, but they still got my order wrong— twice. My husband fared better with soup and salad in that his order was correct. However neither of us found the food very impressive. It was fairly bland, simple fare. Moreover, service was quite slow and a can of seltzer (literally, just a can put on the table) cost $3.50! Honestly, it’s a great premise but the food and service just aren’t worth it.
Have been several times and the food is always fresh and tastes so good. Pizza is wonderful and as is all of the food offered.
We had a delicious lunch here. Two of us split a wood fired pepperoni pizza and a salad. Nice little shop to buy some bread or treats on the way out.
Nine of us ate last outside in their “ courtyard” area. The Chef prepared I believe it was a 5 or could have been six course meal and we enjoyed every bit of it start to finish. A gem!
