Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Slidell

The triple meat plate was definitely worth it. Everything was very tasty and fresh. The restaurant itself was very clean and the parking was lite. Service was A-1 and the portion sizes were adequate. Extra BBQ was given when requested and everythingwas handled with a positive attitude! The servers definitely deserve acknowledgment as they went above and beyond to ensurethat my visit was a pleasant one.

Best barbecue I have had in the last 30 years. Extremely good taste, very well cooked, good prices and selection . Brisket is the best I have eaten and I lived in Texas for 6 years. Great little play here in Slidell.

I am seriously disappointed in our order. We ordered the 3 meat plate (brisket, pulled pork and jalapeno cheddar sausage with bbq baked beans and mac cheese, a classic sandwich with jalapeno cheddar sausage and a side of the onion crispers. We orderedthrough door dash over a week ago and everything was so good we ordered again. This time the brisket and the pulled pork was sodry we threw it away. Disappointing.

This was my first visit. For starters I feel like the potential is there and could eventually be a 5 star place to eat but let me tell you why I am not sure yet. I placed an online order for pickup for an hour later( I promise they made the food as soonas I placed my order and it sat there for an hour. I live 3 miles from this location my food shouldn't be this cold. My 2sandwiches were not made correctly. The other to plates were good except cold. For the price and simplicity of my order itshould have been done correctly. Buyer beware....check check check your order 100% and make sure it is fresh and hot andaccurate.

The smoked meats were very good but a bit on the salty side. No baked potatoes but most sides seemed to be pressed, most likely off-site. Staff was very courteous. Portions were generous. Adult beverages were not available. The food was good for theprice. I would really rate this place at 3.76 stars but it isn?t an option at this time.
