Clayton Sligo

We had a great stay, the rooms were big and clean, we have Benbulben views whixh was a plus for us. The pool was busy but also clean and warm. The building is beautiful from outside and modernly renovated inside. I would have loved to have had more than just one type of soap in the bathroom maybe shampoo and gel instead of 2 in 1? Other than that no complains. It is a bit far to walk to and from town, but a taxi costs around a tenner, so it's not too bad.

Lovely hotel, however no room shower gel or shampoo. Fire alarm went off at 4am waking me from a deep sleep then couldn't sleep again. Building is lovely though

We had a 2 night stay with our baby. The hotel and the staff were great with our baby. The pool was very baby friendly although I found the changing rooms to be a bit of a struggle with a wriggly baby without a baby changing table (I didn’t see one anyway). The room itself was very spacious for her to play and crawl around. The reception staff were great at providing a cot for us. The food in the hotel was lovely and well priced. My only complaint was that the room was too warm, even when I turned the heating down. It was freezing outside when we stayed so I couldn’t leave the window open at night. Other than that it was a great stay and I’ll definitely be staying there again!

Paid for a superior king room. The room was at the far end of the property clearly and clearly not properly updated. Smelled damp and chemicals (walls being painted in corridor), towels despite clean smelled moist which can only assume was washed and stored somewhere for ages. There was no room service menu when called reception, even they were surprised and more surprised that there were no QR codes as all rooms should have them Stayed in Glasshouse or Radisson when in Sligo and would recommend same. Stayed in Clayton for a conference this time, and despite facilities downstairs for the conference/course, it was good the room was abysmal. Would not recomend.

This could easily have been a lower rated review but thanks to the assistant manager Sheila our small issues were dealt with in such a professional manner that we felt very very happy and appreciated. Well done to Sheila and the whole team. You did well. Thank you.
