A&W Restaurant - Smithers

This establishment is quite dated and in need of a renovation. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Our food order was accurate, the sandwiches were well-prepared and tasty.

I am grateful to the cashier who helped me place my order even though I was 50 cents short. It was embarrassing, but thank you for your understanding.

Of the many A&Ws we stopped at, this is the one that has merchandise. Copper coloured travel mugs, hats, duffels, picnic blanket, lots to choose from. Service was good, we asked for no buns, and no to the lettuce wrap, but the burgers were served lettuce wrapped. (Lettuce wraps make the burgers super wet, and all the sauces drip off making the burger really sloppy)

We stopped here on our journey and had a great lunch. The food was very good. Every drink was served in a big glass A&W mug. They take great pride in their meat being free of drugs and the burger I had was excellent. We also had poutein and it was something we had to try while in Canada. We had great service, the food was good and we were able to go on our way.
