I ordered a half serving of biscuits, which included a split biscuit with gravy, while my companion had a meal of two eggs and tenderloin (the pork dish comes with two sides, and he upgraded to grits along with toast or a biscuit). While this isn't my usual type of food, everything was satisfactory. The gravy was a rich, creamy white sauce—perhaps sausage-based. It wasn't overly salty or heavily seasoned, but there were bottles of Tabasco and Louisiana hot sauce available if you wanted to add some spice. For dessert, we tried the pineapple upside-down cake, among other options. It's worth noting that smoking is allowed here, and while a few customers were smoking, it wasn't too noticeable, likely due to good ventilation. The clientele is a mix of truckers and families. Overall, the service was the quickest and friendliest I’ve experienced, leaving us satisfied and ready for the day.
This place serves excellent diner food! The catfish was cooked to perfection, and the country fried steak was seasoned just right. The restaurant is clean, and the service is fast and friendly, despite being very busy. Don’t miss the great fried apples and delicious potato salad!
I was in the mood for some home-cooked food rather than chain restaurant fare. Craving cheese eggs and hash browns, we decided to give this place a try. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. Prices were quite reasonable. The food was decent, though I personally prefer a bit more flavor. However, I appreciate the dietary considerations they take into account.
