When I say that this place is AWESOME!!! Those words don't really describe the experience of eating here; when we got there, there was a small line waiting for it to open; clue number 1. I never call myself a food expert, I just tell people that food is my love language!! And this place speaks my language!!! I ordered the shrimp and grits, I'm not a fan of gouda cheese at all, and I ate every last bite of my plate (wanted to lick the plate is more accurate) my wife ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, oh I had the Brussel sprouts and I ordered the Mojo sauce to go with me. They didn't have any more bottled which says how good that stuff is!!! The thing that impressed me more than the service or atmosphere is that I had more shrimp than grits with my dinner; never have I ever eaten at a restaurant and had more shrimp than grits!! I will be visiting this place sooooo much more in the future!! My wife made the comment that she wanted to look for a place to live close to Smithville so we would be closer to this restaurant!! Great job all the way around!!!

1.5 hours and still no food. The tickets are not moving and every table is full. Paid for wings and they told us there were no wings. Child portions of food for grown adults. Flavor is great. First time here they were out of food at noon on mothers day. Chef Ramsey may be able to help them.

Was super disappointed with our experience here. First, you walk in order your food at the front pay. My boyfriend ordered the gumbo I ordered a salad added grilled shrimp (asked for the dressing on the side). We go sit down wait an hour for our food. Now if they were busy I could understand but the restaurant wasn't even half full. Either way, it shouldn't take this long to get a bowl of gumbo and a salad!!! Finally, we get our food! Now we are not picky people at all, but the gumbo was awful the lettuce in my salad was warm it was covered in dressing. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool looking restaurant the sweet tea was good, but overall I would not try again!
