I was too lazy one night to go pick up food, so I decided to order food from the bar to take back with me upstairs to my hotel room. First of all, just get it out of your mind that any hotel bar or restaurant will have award winning food. You pay the price of convenience to have decent food. I ordered a summer salad, and it was quite delicious, more on the sweet side with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing and some fruits. Waiting for the food was an experience by itself. The bartender told my boyfriend and I to go sit by the fireplace and he would bring us our food (he also gave us water while we waited). The food took probably 30 minutes, but we didn't even notice because we were having such a good time sitting by the fireplace and talking. I have no regrets ordering from here because it made our night very special.
It was clear to see that the Westin was new to some of the pressing regulations brought about by the corona virus. It must be difficult to operate in the service industry under these new regulations and with that in mind I must recognize the impressive and professional service of the bar staff at the Vue Lounge. Emily and Joe are true ambassadors to the cause and were so helpful and positive during a clearly new transition. They offered up a truly welcoming experience....even with a mask on. Emily literally 'shattered ' our expectations and Joe is such a fine gentleman with a wealth of local knowledge. Thanks for the great times! The staff working the breakfast shift are worthy of a great deal of thanks as well. Leslie and Jackie were so awesome each morning when I would come down for my complimentary coffee. We can 't brew coffee in our rooms during these days, so my morning routine changed a lot...For the better! Servers Troy and Gisele were so accommodating and friendly, and the morning view out the window to the mountain was icing on the cake. Thanks so much to all the F+B service staff for working so hard and safe. Chef Tariq even made time to come out from behind the line of a very busy kitchen to say hello and wish us a safe trip. Cant say enough about this staff. We will be coming back for sure!
Service was poor at best and with a lobby of people waiting to eat and get a bit to eat......very sad to say they fialed to make easy money!
Its sort of an extension of the Snowmass Kitchen at the Westin... the menu is all items from the kitchen downstairs. The bar is pretty well stocked for its size. They even had the correct ingredients for a Sidecar! The food is decent but of limited selection. I would eat elsewhere and just stop by here for snacks and drinks.
