They also didn't have table ware for our to go order. So I ate my $60 cold steak with a pocket knife from my truck. Sauces were labeled but not legible so we played guessing game to figure out which sauce went with what. The food was not exceptional but steak with pretty good. Not really a two person $150 experience but everything else here is overpriced too so that puts things in perspective.
We were told they had a children’s menu, but that was a joke. A $250.00 bill for 2 adults and 2 tween boys with NO ALCOHOL AND NO DESSERT. The boys ate when we got home as their meal was so small. Nothing really good for kids so do NOT take children with you. Manager was rude and we were sat by the door. I guess the better tables are reserved for adults with NO kids. Waitress was a delight, but food was less than desirable and way overpriced.
Food and waitress were great. Hostess sat us at a table that was cornered in a sectioned off room with a 12 person high top when plenty of open tables in main seating area were available. Paid over 500.00 for a family dinner where we could not have our own conversation nor could 2 of us even sit back in our chairs because of a high top chair wedge in the back of our chairs. Extremely poor layout and attention to details when charging for premium service.
A superb dining experience at Snowshoe Mtn Resort! My husband ordered the pork chop, which was cooked to perfection. The two other diners' prime rib and filet, cooked med rare were both spot on for juicy, tender flavor. Both were served with compound butter, which was a nice enhancement. If you're a sushi eater this is some of the better sushi I've experienced. Succulent, extremely fresh, enormous, buttery shrimp in a Dynamite Roll was just perfect with my large glass of Chardonnay. I thought I'll take a chance on a sushi roll in WVA and I'm so glad I did! The roll was reasonably priced at $25 for the size and quality of what was presented. Honestly , if I'd known earlier the sushi experience was this good I'd have been down before our last night and simply sat at the bar and eaten a roll! The 9 oz pour of Chard was wonderfully dry for an excellent $12 price point! The service was outstanding, thoughtful and courteous. All the things that make a dining experience memorable. Additionally, the general manager of Prime 10 took the time to come by our table to see if we enjoyed our meal. It was the epitome of gracious dining and we learned from him that the sushi was a new addition and lots of thought to procure a top quality purveyor. The general manager actually thanked us for dining with them and our group was old enough to respect this tradition of thoughtfulness, which used to be the norm but hardly ever happens these days! A restaurant with class that offers a fine dining experience that's a reasonable value for being at a ski resort!
We called for reservations for 6 the hosts answer told us we didn't need a reservation if we came now we were there within 5 mins. Walked in hosts then told us there was nothing available then manager walked up asked what was wrong we explained he didn't seen to care! We can not rate the food we never had the chance.
