Please be patient with the staff; like so many other places, they are operating with very help. The waiter was also assisting in the kitchen, so often there was no one in the dining room (we sat ourselves and drink orders were taken a few minutes after). Our food took a bit longer than it should've, and they generously served us some guacamole on the house! Arrive with patience, but this place is worth the wait AND the drive to Sodus! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
Driving back from Buffalo NyY and seaarching for an interesting restaurant Saw a sign about El Rincon sponsoring highway clean up. took next turn and followed the sign to this amazing restaurant. Menu is extensive and wonderfully thoughtful offerings. I had chicken enchiladas in an extremely flavorful red sauce made from guajillo chilis subtle beautiful flavor with a touch of cinnamon, chicken was delicious with just enough cilanto to make you yearn for the next bite. my husband had chorizo (soft) tacos agzin amazing flavors, with a kick at end of each bite. I saw Posole on the menu and ordered some to take home for lunch. So glad I did! This is not ypur momma 's chicken soup...unless she is from Jalisco. We live 3 hours away but will go to El Rincon whenever the opportunity presents. Staff and dining room were very welcoming. Thanks for a great meal.
These are the Mexican classics captured from old family recipes done right with fresh ingredients and the best seasonings pulled together perfectly. Simplist of decor makes for a wonderful comfortable experience all about the food. This is not fast food. It is prepared respectfully to savor. From to the best guacamole to the hongos or rajas quesadillas to the tres amigos with three scrumptious complementary sauces to the flan, it is a feast of flavor.
Que Rico! The food here was the best, authentic Mexican food i have found in the rochester area. They are struggling to find help; so you may wait a bit for service, it is a drive from rochester, but it is so worth it. Give this restaurant a try. Support them in what they do. This is perhaps the only real mexican restaurant around.
I have always had an amazing experience with the food and service at this restaurant. I am disappointed that tonight was our final visit. I will definitely be trying out the boys' new place on Merchant Street. Please keep me updated if you start offering cooking classes! Best of luck to you, Maria, in your future endeavors.
