Great Alaska Seafood - Soldotna

Decided to give this company a try, I order every year from another Alaskan seafood company. While my order arrived very fast and packed really well... i was not impressed with the products. NONE have packing dates or even a recommended use by date. These could be 10 yrs old for all I know. The halibut cheek package had a small hole which is fine since everything was frozen solid when it arrived. The quality of the products are not worth the prices IMO. I live in central GA, so my review is based on a frozen shipped order.

The king crab was salty and some legs were so old they were soft. They sent me crab cakes with a use by date of 9-23when I ordered in 12-23. They do not respond to your correspondence. Buyer beware. Also all the king crab is at least 3 to 4 years old frozen. Ck it out due to large die off closed crab seasons.

Received a package on time when they promised. 3 pounds king salmon 3 pounds Coho salmon 3 pounds sockeye The king salmon was acceptable Not great. The sockeye was thinner than I would ever buy in the store. Maybe 1/2 inch thick The Coho salmon was paper thin As you can see next to the width of a dime I called to complain the woman then said well you could have asked for premium cuts for a dollar more a pound... thanks for telling me now. I asked what do I do with the paper thin cuts she said she would give me a 1 lb. discount of coho on my next order. Like I would ever trust them again after spending a few hundred dollars for garbage.

An Incredible New Years Eve dinner thanks to Tim and the crew from Great Alaska Seafood ! To give you an idea of the size of the Lobster Tails they are 32oz and the Fillet Mignons are 12oz . Totally pleased with the purchase ! Thanks to all !
